Getting legal advice from a licensed conveyancing law firm like LEAD Conveyancing is highly beneficial, regardless if you are buying or selling property. A conveyancing solicitor is a lawyer with extensive knowledge of property conveyancing and property law, which are implemented throughout the conveyance. It is wise to engage a solicitor where your desired property to buy or sell is located so that you are confident that your solicitor knows the specific laws and regulations used in that area. For your information, conveyancing is the legal procedure of transferring property ownership from one party to another.
Baulkham Hills is a suburb in the Hills District of Greater Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, located within the local government area of The Hills City. The 2016 Australian Bureau of Statistics census showed that the suburb has more than 30,000 residents, and the average age of residents is 40 years old, two years older than the Australian national average age. More than 60% of the residents were born in Australia, while the rest were born overseas, such as China, India, England, South Korea and Sri Lanka. Religious groups in the suburb are Catholic, Anglican and Hinduism, Catholic being the most predominant group.
The land where Baulkham Hills is located was primarily occupied by Aboriginal Australians called the Bidjigal people, a tribe of Dharug people, and it is believed that they occupied all the land of western Sydney. In 1791, William Joyce was the first European settler on the land who arrived in October. Three years later, Joyce was granted a grant of 121,000 square metres of land, officially becoming Baulkham Hills. To commemorate the Bidjigal people, Bidjigal Reserve was named after them. Bidjigal Reserve extends to the suburbs of Baulkham Hills, Castle Hill, North Rocks and West Pennant Hills.
Baulkham Hills is the most populous suburb within The Hills City, and as late as 2011, more than 80% of the residents were homeowners. It is a prosperous suburb with many companies, shopping centres, industrial, recreational and residential areas. It brings many opportunities to people within and outside its premises. Overall, Baulkham Hills is an excellent place to live and care for your family. Some statistics of Baulkham Hills include
Baulko is a suburb near the city centre with a wide range of nature reserves you will enjoy. Each reserve offers a different atmosphere, which makes them all worth visiting. The first reserve you should see is the historic Bidjigal Reserve, named after the Aboriginal people who first inhabited the land. The 186-hectare reserve is an excellent spot to take your children and dogs for a walk. It also showcases fantastic scenery, running tracks and various wildlife.
Another Baulkham Hills natural reserve worth visiting is the Crestwood Reserve. It features a children’s playground and outdoor gym equipment, which makes the place perfect for people of all ages. Other reserve features include a barbecue area, a dog area, walking tracks, a skate park, a tennis court, cricket nets, and a half-court basketball. If Bidjigal Reserve is a spot to know history, Crestwood Reserve is where you can have fun.
If you want more history, visit The Hills District Historical Society Museum. The museum is only open every first and third Saturday monthly except in December, so do not miss your chance to discover Baulko’s past. Other places you can visit include
