Bankstown is a suburb in the southwest of Sydney in New South Wales. This suburb has a thriving local community of residents who live in owner-occupied and rental properties. With a population of more than 32,000 people, this community has a thriving local real estate market that has witnessed tremendous growth over the last few years. Bankstown has an enviable record of achieving an amazing growth rate and a rise in house prices over the last five years. The average capital gain value for real estate is 10.79% over the last 10 years.
For last year alone, the area recorded a capital gain of 1.69%. Despite the lower growth rate compared to other surrounding suburbs, Bankstown remains one of the best places to invest in real estate. The community has also done quite well when you compare the positive appreciation rates to the national average. Currently, the average median price for homes in the area is above $1 million, which is higher than the national average and one of the highest in New South Wales.
Another fascinating trend witnessed in Bankstown is that home prices have steadily increased at a rate of 0.56% per annum. This trend is great news for investors looking for properties with positive growth trends. So, if you were to invest in Bankstown, you are sure of earning good returns from your properties.
Conveyancing is an all-important process as far as real estate acquisitions are concerned, and investors who take this process lightly may end up encountering difficulties regarding the documentation process. Conveyancing refers to the procedural steps required to transfer the ownership of an asset from the former owner to the new owner. After conveyancing is done, the property will bear the name of the new owner.
If you plan to buy a house in Bankstown anytime soon, you cannot afford to give the documentation responsibility to any average joe. What you need is an experienced professional to handle the process for you. The last thing you want is a misspelt name of a wrong entry in the document that will put you in a terrible situation.
With the support of a qualified professional, the smooth transfer of the title deeds for the property will not just be a possibility but an inevitability.
Bankstown is a suburb that lies just off the Southwest region of Sydney, in New South Wales state of Australia. The distance between Bankstown and Sydney is just 16 km, so many people who live in Bankstown work in Sydney. This town, established in 1795, has a population of 32,113. Before the European incursion, Bankstown was covered by the Cumberland Plains Woodland and the Turpentine Ironbark forest.
The area was formerly the homeland of the Bediagal tribe, and their land bordered the Dating and the Dharawal people. However, by 1759 Europeans had begun to migrate to the area when George Bass and Matthew Flinders explored the land up to the Georges River. After their exploratory activities, they reported their findings to Governor Hunter detailing the favorable geography of the area. This prompted Governor Hunter to explore the area in person, and when he saw this to be true, he established one of the first-ever colonies in the area, which he called Bank’s Town. Today, Bank and town have been merged to be called Bankstown.
There are conflicting reasons why the Governor named it so, but one of the widely accepted reasons was that Hunter named it after Sir Joseph Banks, who had traveled to Australia in the company of the legendary Captain James Cook in 1770. Today, the area where the first European settlement was cited is now part of Mirambeena Regional Park.
