Why A Balwyn Conveyancer Is Important

When buying or selling property, consider engaging a professional experienced and knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the real estate selling and buying process, such as a conveyancing solicitor. Conveyancing is a complex legal process of transferring property ownership (title) from one party to another. Legal assistance from a registered law firm solicitor like LEAD Conveyancing can save you from legal trouble, like accidentally violating some of your obligations indicated in the contract. Aside from giving you legal advice, a conveyancing solicitor can be your representative throughout the transaction, ensuring you are not being taken advantage of by the other party.

The traditional owners of Balwyn are the Aboriginal people Wurundjeri clan of the Kulin nation, who occupied the land for at least 14,000 years. The suburb’s name was given by Andrew Murray, an Australian journalist who bought land on the hillside overlooking Canterbury Gardens. He called his house Balwyn, derived from the Gaelic word bal and the Saxon wyn, which means ‘the home of the vine’. Murray’s house still stands today and was located in the area currently part of Fintona Girls’ School.
