As a Buyer, WHEN exactly do you need to engage with a conveyancer?

As a buyer, when exactly do you need to engage a conveyancing solicitor? As a buyer, it's very important to consider engaging your conveyancing solicitor before you sign the contract. You should of course already have agreed on a purchase price where possible and have acknowledgment from the seller that they are likely to agree to your offer, to save you cost once you engage your conveyancing lawyer. But your conveyancing lawyer will help you review your contract before you sign. Make sure that contract is best suited to you and make sure that there are no hidden tips or tricks that you should be aware of before you sign that contract.

As a buyer, you can choose to do sign your contract first and then provide it to your conveyancing lawyer for the conveyance. If you do choose to do that, we will still review your contract, but mainly with the cite of considering whether there are any terms or conditions that need to be clarified in relation to the contract, rather than adding or changing conditions, which is what we really focus on with the contract review.
